71: The Hiatus is OVER! Returning to the Guava Girl Podcast

Apr 06, 2021

Listen up Guava Girls, my podcast is back, and if we are picking RIGHT back upon this journey - from where it all started exactly 3 years ago!

Starting your own podcasts means hours of pre-production planning, hours of editing, tons of takes, becoming your own sound engineer time to time, and a few milk bones for your excited barking dog who wants love and cuddles. #weareallneedy

Having a podcast also means that you can allow yourself to vent all about it afterward and keep using your voice to share and be open with your listeners. I broke through 100K listens which is totally unreal and so I want to acknowledge everyone who has supported this show to come back to life.

In this episode we’re talking about redefining launching, selling antiques, the move back to Miami, and how I got over being a business dinosaur.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT & EMAIL ME BACK WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HEAR ON UPCOMING EPISODE OR WO YOU'D LIKE TO SEE ON THE...

Trademarking & Online Business, a 2 year journey!

Mar 30, 2021

The trademark journey for online entrepreneurs is still clearly in its baby years.

As I embarked on this now two-year journey (yes, two years of trademarking), I quickly realized there wasn't much directional advice on the online community. Not even from my mentors or biz friends, the information was always “exclusive,” like attaining press or launches.

All I knew was, I needed an attorney, but even then, frustrations heightened because, unfortunately, my experience with my initial attorney still did not provide me any relief or clarity.

Just so you know, trademarks are used to protect commercial names, phrases, and logos.

  • For example, a quote can be trademarked if it is a part of your branding and/or service.
    • Guava Girl is displayed on my multiple platforms & products.
  • If it is not thoroughly used as a part of your brand, it cannot be trademarked.
    • Incorporation over time is key

Trademarking and copyrighting can be a large investment, maybe...

Feb 27, 2021

At the start of 2021,  I began documenting my progress as the “Guava Girl Business Owner” every Friday via Instagram Stories

If you knew me, you’d know that last year we moved to Orlando from Gainesville Florida (where I went to college and started Guava Empowerment).

If you knew me, you’d know that I tried starting a second business since moving here “The Guava Chateau”, but due personal limitations, bandwidth and complications, I felt like a failure because I couldn’t get it off the ground.

If you knew me, you’d know that I have been on my own journey, which is starting a new chapter in the beautiful city of Miami, Florida. & you’d know how I can’t waaaait and I am kindaaa restless until we reach our new home together. *sigh*

Turning your Instagram Story DM's "OFF"

Nov 03, 2020

Welcome to this video blog post!

The video is only 12-minutes long but and below you'll find the biggest takeaways.

(However, I highly recommend making yourself a lunch or nice beverage while you listen to the video )

Problems I was experiencing

  • Toxic thinking and behaviors from autopilot social media responses
  • Getting through a high-stress month due to family, traveling, home maintenance, birthday plans, etc.
  • Struggling with balancing my direct messages with other notifications
  • Thinking about client touch points that matter versus touch points don't matter
  • Worrying that my high engaging content was not converting into sales effectively enough
  • Having "fans" hinders productivity

And then *click*… I turned my DMs and IG notifications off, and that's when the magic started to happen. Immediate value was added into my life since making this decision:

  • I got out of the being in the day-to-day of everyone's marketing streams/cycles
  • I stopped...

CEO SECRETS: LAUNCH LIKE A PRO

Apr 20, 2020

INTRODUCTION (DON'T SKIP!)

If you’ve never launched anything before, or if you have but your sales were quieter than one of those weird disco yoga classes where everyone wears headphones, you might find launching a little intimidating.

And maybe you’re thinking to yourself, "Launching sounds like it’s working for you, Isabella, but should I really try to launch something?? Maybe I should just focus on getting 1-1 clients."
I hear you, but this is what you need to know:
Launching works when you know how to do it.
Trying to figure it out all on your own? Yeah, you’re probably gonna have a bad time.

5 Launch Lessons

Launching is one of the most reliable forms of scaling your business quickly. It provides an opportunity to inject a large amount of cash (revenue) into your business so that the CEO may reinvest/pay themselves/ keep in savings - I like to do all three
If you’re not warming up your audience before a launch, you’re not going to have...

CEO Embodiment during Self Quarantine - Latina Quarantina Diaries- Navigating self-isolation as a business owner & secret Instagram growth hack

Mar 31, 2020

Anyways guava loves, I think I have this whole "self isolate while you grow + run a biz + reduce anxiety + make money" thing DOWN.

To be transparent, I found myself ~dicking around~ for the first 14 days of Quarantine. In that time, I lost touch with my spiritual practices and threw myself into #workmode.

I have no shame or guilt, but once I caught wind that my healthy habits were going down the mindfulness toilet, I needed to recalibrate.

After only 4 days of going on runs, taking cold showers, meditating, and cooking a nice meal (in that order), I can say with confidence that: it can be so easy.

I wanted to share the biggest challenges happening in our home and creative solutions to get you back into the highest vibrational being that you are. Remember, you have power and create your own reality

**Also, at the bottom of this post I shared a new Instagram DM growth technique I’ve been experimenting with over the past...

IMPORTANT MOMENTS FROM INSIDE EMPOWER YOURSELF TO TAKE BACK CONTROL THROUGH ENTREPRENEURSHIP

  • [04:17] Being a millennial born in 1995, this is the first time that I am being faced with a potentiality of a recession hitting and an epidemic crisis. Never in my life as an adult have I seen such fear arise from a societal standpoint. Here I describe the crisis that we're all facing...
